We now have internet. COX cable is going to wire up the neighborhood in Feb. So we are going to wait it out and get TV, internet and phone through COX. Until then we are using Verizon broadband (its internet over a cellular modem). It $20 more a month for access but on the plus side, I can get internet any where I can get cell service. I might not want to switch when the time comes. For phones we are just using our cellphones and I really cant think of a good reason to get a landline. If you know of one let me know. For TV we just watch DVDs, besides, there really isn't much good on TV and we have a lot of house work to do.
The house is slowly getting unpacked. We are learning how to use our new appliances as well. The new range looks and sounds like a tactical station from Star Trek and the microwave is more like a food replicator. The microwave is pretty awesome. It can sense the food and then cook it appropriately. The refrigerator is a freezer on the bottom unit with a water and ice dispenser and is also computerized. The dishwasher is ultra quiet, although not as quiet as a Bosch, and has many adjustable features.
One of the upgrades I got was gutters. I'm really not sure if it was good decision or not. The installer only installed gutters and no gutter guards. So, now I have a ton of leaves to clean out and I bought some gutter guards which I began installing today.
I'm sure there are many other things going on that I left out, but I think this is enough for now
