Inside the house, we had a few shower tiles fixed and then the shower was grouted. The counters were going in when we got there and the fireplace mantel was put into place. Outside the house, the landscaping work has begun.
Over the past 4 days work has begun on tiling the floor, tiling the shower and installing the cabinets. The fence was also completed today and work started on the sprinkler system.
All of the tile is now in the shower. All that is left is to grout and seal it. Once it is sealed the tiles will take on a darker, richer color. This is a his/hers, tall/short shower. The left side is Craig's and the right side is Vanessa's. Craig's side has the shower head at 7' and Vanessa's about 8 inches lower and will have a handshower on a hose, which is great for leg shaving and cleaning the shower.
I put the car in the garage for a test fit. There was plenty of room and we will probably park it a littlw closer to the left wall. Work has also started on the 6' tall, wood fence. Back yard pano Front yard pano
Shower tiling began and the driveway is mostly dry. Vanessa got a sample of the kitchen countertop from the contractor so she can use it to pick out the kitchen backsplash.
This morning the forms for the driveway were ready and later today they poured the concrete. The conduit was put in place before the pour and came out perfectly. The foundation for the tile shower was put in place and the interior paint was finessed some more.
